Nathan Fowkes Study

I had a conversation yesterday about functioning your practice/process/learning in comparison of a sprinter and a train. The Sprinter moves are incredible speeds but eventually will have to slow down and walk to catch their breath and then sprint once again. The Train maintains a consistent speed and never slows down (Unless you watch Baccanno, that train was fucked from the beginning)

With deadlines falling around me at all sides (it's so fucking hairy right now I can't even begin), I'm still trying to stress the importance of studying correctly and getting these values and shapes right, they're not there yet but I'll continue to work on it to make sure things are as close as I want them to be. I have such a "I WANT TO GET TO THE DRAWING" part, or in this case the coloring, but I just gotta slow down and focus.

Pr0cess is s0 imp0rtant.

Jumping the gun can be for sketchbook work.

Bike Courier (semi-futuristic)

Just some silhouettes so far, it's a 2-week-er.

Prooooooobably gonna combine ideas from poses 2-4.

No idea what I'm doing

This is a quick jump, but here we go

I wanted a kind of rustic futuristic looking suit, hopefully the colors come through, probably gonna change the hair color as well. haha and color the knee pads.... and add in a bike. and add in shading.

Final for this one, couldn't draw/design/have enough space for the 4th pose (sorry!)

Crits for this one.... one of the issues was consistency, the outfit looked like a different person wearing it for each time (at least in terms of build) and the helmet could use a redesign (yup yup)

More Environments

This probably looks super dark on a mac I bet.

I'mma call this one done, I don't know how to do rock texture... soooooo.

I have no idea what I'm doing with this one.

think I'm getting there... Think so

Final for this one, not perfect but getting there. :P

This study was my favorite, it wasn't the one I presented with (I kind of wish I did actually), to me it shows the most of what I learned in terms of color and composition/form and also took the least amount of time.

this should be in a post of it's own.... but meh! Lawren Harris Study.

Comic Roughs

Lately I feel like I've been diving into everything, from environments, info design (shitty info design), characters, and comics.

Working on the clock here, no colors, just tones. Maybe I'll add in textures. Maybe.
